In 2014 Dr Marika Kalnina visited The Tawam Molecular Imaging Centre (TMIC) in UAE, which is a world-class specialist molecular imaging facility, constructed by Siemens and clinically operated by Johns Hopkins Medicine International (JHI). The Centre features advanced PET/CT diagnostic imaging systems that are essential for the early detection and management of cancer, cardiovascular, neurological and other diseases. Representatives showed the equipment and gave advice how to successfully plan and establish a PET/CT facility.
